While best remixed recording doesn’t get quite as much shine as its fellow dance/electronic awards, the category reflects the essence of the dance scene. Artists of no other genre are recognized for taking a song by another artist and turning it into something new and, in the best cases, just as good or even better.
This year, the Grammys have put five remixers — Imanbek, RAC, Morgan Page, Louie Vega and Bazzi & Haywire — up for this most unique award. While Imanbek is certainly a front-runner, with his edit of SAINt JHN’s “Roses” spending 23 weeks at No. 1 on the Dance/Electronic Songs chart, certainly everyone has a favorite. We want to know yours.
