Miley Cyrus’ Plastic Hearts isn’t the only thing she’s rocking this holiday season. ABC announced on Sunday (Dec. 20) that the star will be performing for its Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2021.
“Can’t get @MileyCyrus off my mind, off my mind because she’s performing on #RockinEve!” the annual program’s Twitter account shared along with a teaser video of the artist.
Ready for @MileyCyrus to put the rock in #RockinEve!” host Seacrest tweeted. “11 more days….”
Cyrus, who released her rock-influenced album Plastic Hearts on Nov. 27, joins multiple performers who were previously announced, including Jennifer Lopez and Cyndi Lauper. J. Lo is set to perform right before New York’s Times Square ball drops at midnight, while Lauper will be joined by Billy Porter for a duet from the award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots.
This year’s Rockin’ Eve will be the former American Idol host’s 16th time helming the program, which is in its 49th year. The show starts at 8 p.m. ET Dec. 31 on ABC.
