Ciara took to social media on Sunday (Dec. 27) to give fans a peek at her girls trip ski weekend with pal Vanessa Bryant.
“The Slopes Ain’t Ready,” she captioned one post, tagging Bryant in a pair of selfies the twosome took aboard a snowy ski lift. In the photos, the singer rocks her newly pink hair-do in an all-white ski ensemble, complete with a branded Moncler coat and giant orange goggles. For her part, Bryant paired a leopard-print ski jacket with a matching lip for the day out.
In a follow-up post, Ciara revealed the trip was actually her first-ever attempt at hitting the slopes on skis. “The very 1st Time I Skied. So much fun. Figuring it all out!” she wrote alongside a video of herself learning to push forward on her poles and point her skis together.
The ski day was far from the first time Ciara has spent time with her close friend recently, particularly in the wake of her husband Kobe Bryant tragic passing in a helicopter crash last January. (The couple’s second daughter, 13-year-old Gianna, was also killed in the accident along with six other passengers and the pilot.) Just last month, the singer posted another cute selfie from a sleepover with Bryant and her two youngest daughters, four-year-old Bianka Bella and one-year-old Capri Kobe.
On New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31), Ciara is set to host Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2021 live from L.A. alongside Ryan Seacrest, Lucy Hale and Billy Porter, all of whom will be hosting the festivities from Times Square in New York City.
