Tom Parker of The Wanted shared a positive update about his ongoing battle with terminal brain cancer: His brain tumor experienced a “significant reduction.”
He shared the good news on Instagram two days after his MRI scan with a heart-warming photo of him with his wife Kelsey Hardwick holding their two children, their 1-year-old daughter Aurelia Rose and 2-month-old son Bodhi Thomas Paris.
“SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION. These are the words I received today and I can’t stop saying them over and over again,” Parker wrote on Thursday (Jan. 7). “I had an MRI scan on Tuesday and my results today were a significant reduction to the tumour and I am responding well to treatment. Everyday I’m keeping on the fight to shrink this bastard!”
He thanked the “wonderful” U.K. National Health Service and his wife, “who has literally been my rock.” Parker also left a special note for his babies by writing, “I fight for you every second of every day.”
The 32-year-old English singer revealed he was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in an Oct. 11-dated Instagram post, just weeks before welcoming his second child, and has been undergoing treatment.
In an exclusive interview with OK! magazine, Parker remained determined to stay positive during his fight. “I’m going to be here,” he told the publication. “I’m going to fight this.”
