Demi Lovato is urging Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office.
The singer made her plea on Instagram Saturday (January 9th), just three days after the riot in the U.S. Capitol (January 6th).
She posted a video of Meghan McCain pleading with Republicans to oust the President and added the caption, “We all must come together condemning the mob that stormed the Capitol this week. Donald Trump incited violence against our democratically elected officials and is unfit to lead this country.”
She added, “@vp please invoke the 25th amendment + congress please move forward with impeachment. We must protect the future of our democracy.”
Lovato tweeted shortly after the riot saying she was “angry, embarrassed and ashamed” and would be “in the studio working on something special after today’s assault on democracy.”
