MAX and BTS’ Suga have whipped up an extra sweet version of their “Blueberry Eyes” collab with “Blueberry Faygo” rapper Lil Mosey and Olivia O’Brien.
The tasty remix offers Mosey’s Auto-Tuned, sugar-coated vocals about falling in love for the first verse and O’Brien’s dulcet harmony on the chorus. The 19-year-old rapper was a perfect fit for the song’s second helping, after he scored his first No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Rhythmic Songs chart last summer with “Blueberry Faygo,” which also reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Having Lil Mosey, the mastermind behind ‘Blueberry Faygo,’ add his story to ‘Blueberry Eyes’ felt too iconic not to create the ultimate blueberry hit song,” MAX said in a statement. “The cherry on top is getting to add the legendary voice of my friend Olivia O’Brien. I’m so excited for this final chapter of ‘Blueberry Eyes’ with my brother SUGA and honored to work with all of these incredible artists on this new version of the song.”
The music video features Mosey, MAX and O’Brien in separate colored boxes to match their monochrome outfits. The Certified Hitmaker rapper sips on what looks like a can of Blueberry Faygo while sporting his signature color, as MAX enjoys the same refreshment in his silky orange jumpsuit and the “I Hate U, I Love U” singer looks pretty in pink.
