Kris Kristofferson has retired. Fox News reports that per a press release, the 84-year-old quietly stepped back from his career last year, and that his son, John Kristofferson, will now “lead the family's business.” Nashville-based Morris Higham Management has been hired to represent Kristofferson's estate.
John Kristofferson said, “It's been amazing to dig in to my dad's catalog and history with this seasoned group of professionals. The name has alwayas been synonymous with songwriting as an art, and we're excited to reintroduce his work to new and old fans alike. We have many exciting projects in the works and I look forward to getting them out into the world.”
Kristofferson recently disclosed his struggle with memory loss.
