Vance Joy has enjoyed a, well, joyous career since his 2013 release “Riptide” went global.
The Australian singer and songwriter has played stadiums around the globe with his pal Taylor Swift, and he’s a multi-platinum, record-busting artist in his homeland, where he won best male artist at the 2015 ARIA Awards.
His two full-length studio albums both topped the Australian chart, and cracked the U.S. Top 20 (his 2018 sophomore album Nation of Two peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200).
If all that was a whirlwind, Joy just changed tac for a moment through a collaboration with U.S. producer Benny Blanco and helmeted EDM star Marshmello on “You”.
It’s a folk-meets-the-dancefloor tune, accompanied with a neat, clay animation music video directed by William Child.
