It looks as though a deal has been reached between Rod Stewart and son Sean with Assistant State Attorney Zachary O’Neill regarding a scuffle last year in Palm Beach, Florida. According to The Associated Press, attorney Alexandra Antonacci, speaking on behalf of the Stewart's lawyer Guy Fronstin stated, "It sounds like everything’s been worked out" — before adding that a final plea deal is still being negotiated. An online court date is scheduled for March 26th.
Last year, Rod and his eldest son, then-39-year-old Sean Stewart, were charged with alleged physical battery and being the "primary aggressors" of a physical altercation on New Year's Eve 2019 in Palm Beach, Florida. People.com reported at the time, on the night of the incident, the pair grew "agitated" after their party was denied entree to a private bash held at the exclusive resort, The Breakers. The affidavit states: "The group began to get loud and cause a scene, and refused to follow instructions to leave."
People posted: "The argument escalated and the report alleges Sean 'shoved' what is believed to have been an event security guard, with Rod following with a punch shortly thereafter that struck the guard in the 'left rib cage area.' The report stated that (Rod) then apologized for his actions."
An insider added: "It was a brief misunderstanding and neither Rod nor Sean were detained. . . Apologies were exchanged and there were no injuries."
A second source described the scene: "They were being loud and disruptive all night. It was like a frat party."
