AEG Presents has hired former Live Nation San Diego president Candace Mandracia as senior talent buyer, Las Vegas, with a focus on booking The Theater at the newly opened Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
The announcement came from AEG Presents Las Vegas senior vp Bobby Reynolds, who notes that Mandracia’s “significant experience as a promoter and talent buyer across a plethora of venues” will prove valuable to AEG Presents, as Vegas emerges from the pandemic and prepares for a full-scale return to live entertainment. That includes the former property of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, which was purchased by Virgin founder Richard Branson in March 2018.
“I am extremely grateful to AEG Presents and Bobby Reynolds for giving me the opportunity to be able to work with such an amazing team in Las Vegas,” said Mandracia, who has received several industry honors including being named to Billboard’s 30 under 30 in 2007. “It is exciting to see the return of live events and I can’t wait for artists to experience The Theater at the new Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.”
When she is not producing concerts, she performs with San Diego indie-rock band No Knife, and has toured along the West Coast and across the U.S. with bands like Jimmy Eat World and Cursive.
