With those April showers rolling in, grab a throw blanket, snuggle up on your couch and tune in to some livestream concerts.
There’s something for everyone this week, including the 2021 BRIC JazzFest featuring Meshell Ndegeocello and Roy Ayers kicking off on April 8; the ongoing Bluebird on Third series for country fans; and for those into huge rock events, U2 wraps up its “The Virtual Road” digital tour with the band’s December 2015 Paris concerts, streaming for the first time.

April 8: Lizzie No, Another Michael and more perform for the Unlocked Voices livestream fundraiser. Donations from the free show benefit Women’s Prison Association and A Little Piece of Light. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. ET and streams on Facebook Live.
April 8-9: Ali Gatie will put on an exclusive live-streamed performance with Moment House in celebration of his new EP The Idea of Her. The show will streaming via Moment House on April 8 and 9, depending on the territory.
April 8-10: Yo-Yo Ma, Mxmtoon, Ben Folds and many others are participating in On Air Fest 2021. The free Brooklyn festival will feature performances, conversations, and more. Visit OnAirFest.com for the full schedule.
Roy Ayers, Meshell Ndegeocello and more are playing the virtual 2021 BRIC JazzFest. The event begins at 7 p.m. each day; tickets start at $20.
Midland performs their hits from Billy Bob’s in Texas. The April 8 show begins at 10 p.m. ET, while the other two kick off at 11 p.m. ET. Tickets start at $12.
The Mavericks are playing their first shows in more than a year via three livestream events. “Live & Unplugged” will be acoustic sets streamed from Austin’s ACL Live at the Moody Theater. The shows begin at 9 p.m. ET; tickets start at $14.99.
April 9: Radiohead kicks off a second series of archival shows with their January 2008 set at London’s 93 Feet East. The set was intended to be an in-store performance at Rough Trade East to celebrate the release of In Rainbows, but the store was overwhelmed with the crowd that showed up, forcing the band to relocate. The stream begins at 3 p.m. ET on Radiohead’s YouTube channel.
JT Harding, Cassadee Pope and Matt Thomas perform live for the Bluebird on Third series from Nashville. The stream begins at 9 p.m. ET on Nugs.net; tickets are $8.99.
Marcus Mumford, Wesley Keith Schultz of The Lumineers, Jensen McRae and many more are participating in Abolition 2021, a virtual concert benefiting the families of those incarcerated at Louisiana State Penitentiary, also known as Angola. The show begins at 8 p.m. ET; tickets start at $20.
Whitney is playing a livestream show from Portland, with a Q&A after the set. The show, which will stream on BandsInTown Plus, begins at 9 p.m. ET. A subscription is required to view the performance.
Dillion Frances and DJ Porter Robinson are going head-to-head in a streamed battle, followed by a Sound Bites concert with performances by Frances and Alan Walker. The battle kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET, and the concert at 7 p.m. ET on Grubhub’s YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.
Brockhampton will deliver their official record release show for Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine in collaboration with Moment House. Featuring appearances by special guests and album contributors, the moment will see the group performing songs from the album for the first time amidst the backdrop of Rick Rubin’s famed Shangri-La Studios in Malibu.
IDK, Sabrina Claudio and Malia Civetz will perform during the VFILES LAB show at 3 p.m. ET via Veeps. The inaugural VFILES LAB Show showcases the 7 LAB winners — from New York to London, Paris, and Seoul — developing novel projects at the cutting edge of culture and social good. All ticket sales proceeds will be donated to The VFILES Foundation.
Maggie Lindemann will be performing a virtual concert live at The Roxy in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET. Tickets for “Maggie Lindemann PARANOIA: A Livestream Concert Experience” are $15 and available here.
April 9-10: Moon Vs Sun (Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida) have released “I’m Going to Break Your Heart,” the third track and video from their forthcoming album and documentary of the same name. On Friday, April 9 (9:00 pm EST) and Saturday, April 10 (3:00 pm EST), the couple will also be doing advance screenings of the documentary exclusively via Veeps. Each screening will be followed by an intimate Q&A with Raine and Chantal, with Friday’s hosted by MTV and radio legend Matt Pinfield.
April 10: U2 wraps its “The Virtual Road” tour with a livestream of the band’s December 2015 “Innocence + Experience” concerts in Paris. The shows took place less than a month after the city experienced terror attacks on Nov. 13, 2015, that killed 130 people and wounded hundreds more. The stream begins at 2:30 p.m. ET on YouTube.
