Logic has come out of retirement, albeit briefly.
The Maryland-born hip-hop artist resurfaces with the new release “Tired in Malibu,” the artwork for which features Logic and his young son enjoying a quiet moment.
Logic’s comeback runs to precisely 60 seconds, which is more than enough time for him to namecheck Elon Musk, Big Lenbo and rhyme on Back to the Future’s Flux Capacitor.
The two-time Grammy-nominated artist (real name Sir Robert Bryson Hall II) last year announced he’d take an early retirement, when many observers figured he was far from done. Certainly at age 31, he ought to be at the peak of his rapping powers.
“I just wanted to retire because I’m over it man,” he told Billboard hours before the release of his seventh and final album, 2020’s No Pressure. The LP peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
While enjoying his time-out from showbiz, the rapper reportedly forked-out more than $220,000 for an extremely rare first-edition Charizard Pokemon card, fulfilling a childhood dream.
