With the return of live shows getting closer and closer, Rüfüs Du Sol is making plans to come back in a big way.
The Australian vocal house trio have announced a headlining show at Los Angeles’ Banc of California Stadium this Nov. 12. The event will mark the venue’s first-ever electronic headlined show and the group’s biggest headlining show to date.
The trio previously played for a comparably sizable crowd in their adopted hometown of Los Angeles in late 2019, when their headlining show at the L.A. State Historic Park drew 21,000 fans. The capacity at Banc of California Stadium is just slightly more than that, at 22,000. It’s not yet clear if COVID protocols will allow the stadium to be filled to maximum capacity come November.
In terms of protocols, the venue’s website states, “We will be in regular communication with local health and public safety officials and will continue to abide by all guidelines as they are put forth. As each event approaches, ticket holders will receive regular updates with the important information needed to plan their visit to Banc of California Stadium, including any changes to policies and procedures they’ll need to know before entering the venue for their event.”
While it’s unclear if the trio is gearing up for a new album, they have teased new music created during quarantine. Their 2018 LP, Solace, earned a 2020 Grammy nomination for best dance/electronic album. The November show will also feature fellow Australian live electronic act Flight Facilities as openers. Tickets go on sale April 14.
