USA Today has reported that there is no evidence that DMX's heart attack was caused by the COVID-19 vaccine. Mediatakeout originally reported that a family member of the rapper said that he received the COVID-19 vaccine just days before having a heart attack.
Other outlets reported the story, but now New York based lawyer Murray Richman — who represented DMX for decades, confirmed that X did not receive the COVID-19 vaccine a week before having a heart attack. Richman wasn't sure if he received the vaccine before that period. Richman also said that he couldn't confirm whether drugs were involved and was not sure what caused the heart attack.
In an emailed statement, founder and editor of MediaTakeOut Fred Mwangaguhunga said the outlet stands "by our reputation, and by the quotes in the article."
