For the first time on television, David Bisbal and Carrie Underwood performed their bilingual collaboration “Tears of Gold” at the 2021 Latin AMAs on April 15.
As what looked like literal tears of gold dropped from the sky onto the stage, powerhouses Bisbal and Underwood belted out the soaring uptempo pop ballad that dropped back in December.
“I immediately knew it was an amazing track that needed a special talent, and voice, to work with me on a duet,” the Spanish artist previously told Billboard. “As an artist and vocalist, I listen to a lot of songs, determine the style and sound, and am involved in the process of picking my collaborators for my projects.”
This year, Karol G and J Balvin lead the list of nominees with nine nods each. Both are up for artist of the year, sharing the category with Anuel AA, Bad Bunny, Christian Nodal, Eslabon Armado, Maluma, Ozuna and Sech.
Hosted by Mexican actress Jacqueline Bracamontes, the 2021 Latin AMAs – live from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida – also featured performances by Ozuna, Maluma, Ricky Martin, Carlos Vives, Eslabon Armado and more.
