No one in the game has stronger knees than Megan Thee Stallion, a fact she boastfully reminded fans of in her cinematic, booty-bouncing visual for “Movie” featuring Lil Durk.
Released on her 2020 studio debut album Good News, the Tay Keith-produced track exudes strip club anthem energy, with hard-hitting 808s, snappy trap drums and lyrics brimming with assertive attitude. “That ain’t my man, but that’s my man, though, so watch your hands, ho,” she spits, later following up with the equally memorable line, “This expensive, don’t be touchin’ on what you ain’t payin’ for.”
The accompanying visual, directed by Mike Ho and released on April 15, compliments the vibe of the track, showing Meg at a strip club alongside dancers, some with knees bent, others in a full split and one holding an impressive headstand, as the girl-power rapper blows stacks on a dance floor already engulfed in bills.
In another scene, the “Savage” rapper channels early ’00s music videos, strutting in a barely-there iridescent bikini, her hair blowing in the wind of a fan while standing in front of a glowing backlight. She’s joined by rapper Lil Durk, who closes out the video showering the blonde bombshell in bills.
Since the release of Good News, Megan was featured on the Coming to America 2 soundtrack alongside Bobby Sessions on “I’m A King,” and Maroon 5’s March single, “Beautiful Mistakes.” Her Maroon 5 collab peaked at no. 25 on the Hot 100 chart.
