My Chemical Romance has announced the postponement of all of their 2021 dates. The group also said they will not be performing at any 2021 festivals.
“We are deeply sad, but those emotions are only a fraction of the depth of feeling we have all experienced watching the suffering and loss of the past year,” the band said in a statement on Friday (April 16). “We just want to be as sure as we can be that everyone is safe. Refunds will be offered to anyone who wants them. We are sorry if this is disappointing, and we REALLY can’t wait to see you in 2022.”
The band has moved its Stadium MK shows in England from June 17, 19 & 20 to May 19, 21 & 22 next year. Their shows in Bonn, Germany will now take place June 21-22, 2022 and those at Prudential Center in New Jersey will now take place Sept. 20-21, 2022.
My Chemical Romance’s four-night stint at the Forum in Los Angeles will now take place on Oct. 11, 12, 14 & 17 next year. For all festival and events where 2022 dates have yet to be announced, the band says event organizers will be in touch directly.
All 2021 tickets will be honored for the new 2022 dates. The band asks those who are unable to attend the new dates to reach out to their point of purchase for a refund. Some refunds are available for a limited window. All New Zealand refund requests must be submitted by May 20, 2021. The North American refund window ends May 16, 2021.
