Three years ago Tuesday (April 20), the global dance music community was rocked by the death of Tim Bergling, known to the world as Avicii.
The producer — just 28-years-old when he took his own life while on holiday in Muscat, Oman — left behind a legacy of massive, era- and genre-defining hits including “Wake Me Up,” “Seek Bromance” and of course “Levels,” the song that’s been called no less than “the Mount Everest of EDM.”
In honor of Tim Bergling and his legacy, Tomorrowland is hosting a daylong stream featuring many of Avicii’s classic hits along with clips from his myriad performances at the fabled Belgian dance mega-festival. The tribute will also feature artists including Kygo, Alesso, Dimitri Vegas, Aloe Blacc and Nicky Romero sharing their memories of the Swedish producer. Tune into the Tomorrowland One World Radio tribute below.
Additionally, Blacc — a frequent Avicii collaborator and vocalist on tracks including the iconic “Wake Me Up” — will host his annual Avicii tribute Tuesday via Instagram live, starting at 3 p.m. ET.
