Lord Huron lands its first No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart, or any Billboard songs survey, as “Not Dead Yet” rules the tally dated April 24.
The Los Angeles-based band, which began in 2010, previously accrued two Adult Alternative Airplay top 10s: “Fool for Love” (No. 3, 2015) and “The Night We Met” (No. 7, 2017).
The group boasts two No. 1s on the Americana/Folk Albums chart: Strange Trails in 2015 and Vide Noir in 2018.
Lord Huron is the second act to earn a first Adult Alternative Airplay No. 1 so far in 2021, following Weezer, whose “All My Favorite Songs” led the last three weeks.
Concurrently, “Not Dead Yet” reaches a new No. 36 high on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with 1.2 million audience impressions, up 8%, according to MRC Data.
The song is the lead single from Long Lost, the band’s fourth studio album and second on Republic, due May 21. Along with topping Americana/Folk Albums, the band’s previous LP, Vide Noir, became its first top 10 (No. 9) on the all-genre Billboard 200.
