The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears” remix featuring Ariana Grande has topped this week’s new music poll.
Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (April 23) on Billboard, choosing The Weekend and Grande’s most recent collaboration as their favorite new music release of the past week.
The “Save Your Tears” remix brought in nearly 67% of the vote, beating out new music by H.E.R. and Chris Brown (“Come Through”), Yola (“Diamond Studded Shoes”), Natti Natasha and Becky G (“Ram Pam Pam”), Porter Robinson (“Nurture”), and others.
Earlier in the week, both superstars teased an audio snippet of their breathy vocals harmonizing the lyric, “I don’t know why I run away,” on the song from The Weeknd’s Billboard 200 No. 1 album, After Hours. The remix later dropped with an animated clip featuring The Weekend and Grande.
“Save Your Tears” is currently sitting at No. 5 on the April 24-dated Billboard Hot 100 and just topped the Pop Airplay chart last week.
The “Save Your Tears” remix is The Weeknd and Grande’s third collaboration in seven years. He previously appeared on the “off the table” duet featured on Grande’s 2020 album, Positions, and “Love Me Harder,” from her 2014 sophomore release, My Everything, which peaked at No. 7 on the Hot 100.
Placing second on the past week’s tally with 24% of the vote was H.E.R. and Brown’s steamy new duet “Come Through.”
