N’Klabe captures its 18th top 10 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart as “Se Parece a Ella” climbs 11-8 on the May 1-dated survey, with an 11% increase in audience impressions (to 1.5 million) in the week ending April 25, according to MRC Data.
With the lift, N’Klabe captures its 18th Tropical Airplay top 10, the third-most for a group since the chart’s inception in 1994. It follows Wisin & Yandel (25) and Grupo Manía (20).
The act capped the airplay chart’s tracking week on April 25 with a performance of the song at Día Nacional de La Zalsa in Orlando. It was the group’s first live performance in over a year and a half. The event was produced by La Kalle Productions with the support of MegaTV Orlando, Zeta 93 FM, SBS Entertainment and LaMusica. In addition to the group’s live performance, N’Klabe was recognized at the first edition of DNZ for being one of the most influential salsa ensembles of these times.
“Se Parece” is N’Klabe’s third straight top 10 after “Probabilidad de Amor,” with Daniela Betancourt (No. 5 peak, July 2020) and “Me Enamoré Como Nunca,” with Elysanij (No. 8 high, November 2020). Its first top 10, however, arrived over two decades ago with 2004’s “Navegándote.” Out of the group’s 18 top 10s, seven translate into No. 1s, all one-week leaders except for “Amor de Una Noche,” a six-week champ in 2005.
