Sam Hunt was included among this year's nominees at the Billboard Music Awards. He's up for Top Country Album for his sophomore project, Southside.
Sam tells us: “It’s awesome to be acknowledged and recognized especially at a time when there’s so much good music out there and especially without like the new factor. I still feel like I’m just now getting into this, but I’ve been around now for a few years, but yeah, I’m just happy to be acknowledged. It’s really cool to get that recognition.”
Other Top Country Album nominees include Gabby Barrett for Goldmine, Chris Stapleton for Starting Over, Carrie Underwood for My Gift and Morgan Wallen for Dangerous: The Double Album.
The Billboard Music Awards will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 23rd at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
