Luke Combs, Chris Young and Lauren Alaina honored members of the U.S. Military on Saturday (May 29th) night during its annual “Salute The Troops” show at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. The performances aired as part of Opry Live on the Circle Network.
Chris paid tribute to late Opry member Charlie Daniels, one of the U.S. Military's biggest supporters throughout his career. He recognized guests from Middle Tennessee State University’s Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center as well as Hazel Daniels, Charlie Daniels Jr., and retired Army Lieutenant General Keith Huber.
Lauren was joined by her father, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and brother for “When You Say Nothing At All.” She also performed “Road Less Traveled” and her current single, “Getting Over Him.”
Luke performed several of his hits including “Even Though I’m Leaving,” “Cold As You,” “Forever After All” and “Lovin’ On You.”
