SOULJA BOY ALMOST CANCELS VERZUZ AGAINST BOW WOW: Apparently, Soulja Boy's Verzuz battle against Bow Wow this past weekend almost didn't happen. Video footage hit the net of Soulja being denied entry into the venue where the battle was being held. Soulja told the event's security, “'ll leave this sh*t right now. There won't be no live. There won't be no Verzuz.” He added, “Listen, listen, I don't know who you could tell but if they don't let my artists in, I'm 'bout to leave right now and there won't be no live or no event.” A woman then told Soulja that him and his artists would have to enter through the front of the venue, but he replied, “Nah, they going to the back to the dressing room with me. These ain't no fans. These my artists. Yuh, so open this f**kin' gate.”
TEKASHI 6IX9INE DOESN'T ATTEND SHOW IN TEXAS BECAUSE HE WASN'T PAID: According to a report from TMZ on Monday (June 28th), Tekashi 6ix9ine didn't attend a show in Humble, Texas because he wasn't paid. The outlet says that 6ix9ine had a contract, which said that he was supposed to receive $250,000 for his performance at the Humble Civic Center. The rapper was given $70,000 in cash, but didn't get his balance before the show, which was in the contract. 6ix9ine returned the cash and didn't do the show.
DABABY SPEAKS ON LUDACRIS COMPARISONS: After comedian Lil Duval sparked a conversation on Twitter, saying that Lil Baby is the new Jeezy and DaBaby is this generation's Ludacris, DaBaby has weighed in. While on the BET Awards red carpet on Sunday (June 27th), Baby told Billboard, “I wouldn’t even say we’re one of the same. I feel like that’s too commonly used. I think people use that too lightly. I was inspired by Ludacris’ creativity with his music videos. I was inspired by a lot of people. Not only people like Ludacris, but people like Nelly. I mean, everybody.”
