After initially defending the comments he made during his Rolling Loud performance, DaBaby has apologized. The rapper tweeted yesterday (July 27th),”I tell fans to put a cellphone light in the air y’all start a million man March. I told you y’all digested that wrong but I ain’t gone lie I’m impressed. Now show this same amount of support when a racist cop kill one of our black a**…YA NOT.”
He later apologized for his “insensitive” comments about people with HIV/AIDS, saying, “Anybody who done ever been effected by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset. What I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies.”
He continued, “But the LGBT community… I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. y’all business is y’all business.”

Meanwhile, his “Levitating” collaborator Dua Lipa spoke on DaBaby's comments, saying, “I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby’s comments. I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGTBQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”
Fashion brand boohooMAN, for which DaBaby is a partner, also spoke on the rapper's comments, telling TMZ, “Diversity and inclusion are part of our core values and we pride ourselves on representing the diverse customers we serve across the globe.”

Lil Nas X's dad Robert Stafford also commented on DaBaby's comments, saying via Instagram, “Bruh sit down you had your time.”
DaBaby had a message for the “brands, networks, or artists that like to profit off of black rappers,” adding, “Keep yo money next time us ‘NI**AS’ human too.”
