Olivia Rodrigo is now giving writing credit to Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Joshua Farro for the song “Good 4U.”
The songwriters, 32 and 33, apparently just learned that the 18-year-old Rodrigo added their names to the songwriting credit.
It could be because fans pointed out the similarities between the song and Paramore’s 2007 single “Misery Business.”
On social media, musical mash-ups have been posted, accusing Rodrigo of being heavily inspired by the pop-punk group.
It’s not clear when their names were added to the track notes, but they weren’t there when the song was first released a few months ago.
TL;DR:
- Olivia Rodrigo is now giving credit to Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Joshua Farro for the song “Good 4U.”
- Musical mash-ups accusing Rodrigo of taking from their music.
