JAY Z DEFENDS DAVE CHAPPELLE: During a conversation on Twitter Space, Jay Z defended Dave Chappelle, calling him “super brave and super genius.” He said, “If you spend time with him, he’s brilliant.” He added, “But I think that what happens with true art is it has to cause conversation. And, you know, sometimes it’s gonna be abrasive and sometimes it’s gonna be off-putting to folks. But it opens up an opportunity to have a dialogue about, you know, whatever the issue is.” Jay Z admitted that Chappelle's special The Closer “pushed a lot of buttons,” which made him uncomfortable, but sometimes that's what great art does. He added, “When you’re making great art, you have to be fearless and you have to create something that you believe in. And that’s what it’s about.”
LAWYER CLAIMS NICKI MINAJ AND KENNETH PETTY ARE AFFILIATED WITH NY GANG: Tyrone Blackburn, the attorney representing Jennifer Hough for her witness intimidation lawsuit, has claimed that both Nicki Minaj and husband Kenneth Petty are affiliated with the Makk Balla Brims gang based in Queens, New York. Blackburn made his accusation in court to Judge Eric Vitaliano. Blackburn showed the court footage of the couple in Jamaica, Queens. He told the judge, “Kenneth Petty and Maraj were both in this district, in Jamaica, Queens, New York. As seen on an Instagram live video currently up on Maraj’s Instagram page, both Maraj and Petty were seen associating with members of the Makk Ballers set of the Bloods Gang. Petty and Maraj are both members of this gang.” He added, “Shortly after Petty and Maraj are spotted with their gangster colleagues, a member of the gang posted a death threat to Ms. Hough on Twitter, stating: 'Jennifer if you see this, the Makks are coming to get you.'” Hough is suing Minaj and Petty, claiming that they attempted to bribe her to recant her accusation that Petty raped her at knife-point in 1994. Petty was sentenced to four years in prison at the time.
50 CENT SLAMS STARZ: 50 Cent went off on Starz after the network initially aired an episode of his new show “BMF” and then removed it. 50 wrote via Instagram, Starz is a sh*t show, they better sell it fast. They put the f*cking BMF show on, then took it down. what network does sh*t like that? They just ruined the anticipation of The episode i directed, I WORKED HARD ON THIS. I can’t work with these people anymore.” Episode seven of BMF featuring a cameo from Eminem is expected to drop on Nov. 14th.
SAWEETIE IS READY FOR BABIES…NICK CANNON OFFERS TO HELP HER OUT: Saweetie is ready to be a mommy. The rapper wrote via Instagram that she “want some babies.” Nick Cannon commented using just emojis, seemingly offering to help Saweetie out, including one with his hand up, as if to volunteer for the job.
EVE PLANS TO TAKE BREAK FROM FILMING ABC'S 'QUEENS': Eve is set to take a break from filming ABC's Queens to focus on her pregnancy. According to Deadline, Eve' maternity leave will begin before the show finishes filming this year. It was also reported that her character Brianna will be in the majority of “Queens'” original 13-episode order. The character’s storyline is wrapped up in a way, so Eve could return if she chooses to and should the series get renewed for a second season.
