Taylor Swift is following up the release of RED (Taylor’s Version) and the short film All Too Well with the Monday (November 15th) morning premiere of “I Bet You Think About Me.”
Swift announced on Twitter Sunday (Nov. 14th) that Blake Lively will direct the music video, writing, “I finally got to work with the brilliant, brave, & wickedly funny @blakelively on her directorial debut. Join us as we raise a toast, and a little hell.”
“I Bet You Think About Me” features Chris Stapleton and is “from the vault,” meaning it was written during the original Red sessions in 2012 but was never recorded.
The “Cardigan” singer has been busy since Red (Taylor’s Version) dropped on Friday (Nov. 12th), performing the full 10-minute version of “All Too Well” on Saturday Night Live and breaking streaming records.
Spotify announced that Swift broke two records on Friday (Nov. 12th): most streamed album in a day by a female artist and most streamed female in a single day.
The success of Swift’s re-recording project has apparently influenced her parent label Universal Music Group to rework its contracts to make sur other artists can’t follow in her footsteps. According to The Wall Street Journal, UMG has been making new agreements with artists “effectively doubling the amount of time that the contracts restrict an artist from rerecording their work.”
