After dating for more than two years, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have split up.
Late Wednesday (Nov.17) they both posted the news on their Instagram stories, saying they were ending their romantic relationship, but their love for one another, as humans is stronger than ever.
The statement read, “We started out relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”
The announcement caught fans by surprise since the couple appeared in love in recent Halloween photos.
They started dating in July of 2019 and have been nearly inseparable ever since, even moving to Miami together during the pandemic to be near her family. He later talked about the experience, calling it the “best gift he’d ever been given in his whole life.”
The identical posts ended with three hearts and was signed: “Camila and Shawn.”
