Knotfest Japan has once again been postponed due to Covid-19.
The Slipknot festival was originally scheduled for last year and was moved to 2022. The new announcement has pushed it into 2023.
Slipknot said, “Covid restrictions are still not allowing us to perform. Unfortunately we must postpone Knotfest Japan, but we look forward to coming back and performing for you on April 1–2, 2023.”
This explanation was included in the announcement: “We have come to this decision due to ongoing changes with coronavirus mandates in Japan and the uncertainty of how regulations of entry into Japan will stand in 2022.
They went on to say that because of expected large crowds, their first priority was to provide the safest environment for the fans, artists, staff and everyone involved.
They added: “Keep each other safe, and we'll see you very soon.”
In other Slipknot news… The band has wrapped their Knotfest Roadshow Tour for this year. And earlier this month they released “The Chapeltown Rag,” their first new song since 2019.
