According to a report from TMZ, Dr. Dre is shelling out millions of dollars for the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show to make sure it's an unforgettable event.
However, if the show is canceled due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, Dre could lose the money he's putting up for the performance.
Sources told TMZ that Dr. Dre has Event Cancellation Insurance to cover any issues that may cause the show to be canceled, but this doesn't include COVID-19.
The provision is called a Communicable Disease Exemption.
The halftime show is set to take place at L.A.'s SoFi Stadium on February 13th with co-headliners Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige.
It's important to note that if there is a massive rise in cases and the number of attendees allowed to attend the Super Bowl is lowered, the game will go on. However, there is a possibility that the Super Bowl can move to Dallas.
