Jack Harlow earns his highest debut on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart without an accompanying act, as “Nail Tech” bows at No. 4 on the March 5-dated list.
In the Feb. 18-24 tracking week, “Tech” earned 15.2 million official U.S. streams and 2,300 downloads, according to MRC Data.
Harlow’s start with “Tech” is only exceeded by “Industry Baby,” released with Lil Nas X, which bowed at No. 1 on the Aug. 7, 2021, survey and spent 18 total weeks atop the ranking.
Another entry, “Whats Poppin,” which featured DaBaby, Tory Lanez and Lil Wayne, peaked at No. 2 in July 2020, after initially debuting that February at No. 45, then without any features.
“Tech” also debuts at No. 4 on Hot Rap Songs, his fourth top 10, and behind the overall peaks of “Poppin” (No. 2) and “Baby” (No. 1). On the all-format Billboard Hot 100, it starts at No. 18.
On the all-format Streaming Songs ranking, “Tech” appears at No. 4; Harlow’s best, “Baby,” debuted and peaked at No. 1 for two weeks last year. It also bows at No. 2 on Rap Streaming Songs and R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs.
“Tech” has concurrently received early radio airplay, debuting at No. 37 on the Rhythmic Airplay list, his seventh chart appearance.
