Joe Satriani has booked a 44-date North American fall tour in support of his new album, The Elephants Of Mars, which drops on April 8th. Loudwire.com reported Satriani will be backed on the jaunt by drummer Kenny Aronoff, bassist Bryan Beller, and keyboardist Rai Thistlewayte.
Satriani and the band kicks things off on September 21st in Riverside, California at Fox Performing Arts Center and wrap the dates up on November 19th at Dallas' Majestic Theatre.
During a 2019 chat at L.A.'s Musicians Institute, Joe Satriani spoke frankly about his songwriting process: “There are songs that come right away. They just immediately — you know exactly what the song is. You wake up in the morning and it's in your head or you're just sitting around tuning and you hear a note and suddenly it comes to you. I've also had songs that take 15, 20, years to write. It's not unlike life where you miss so many opportunities to understand things that you do until you mature. And then you say, 'Oh — that's what they were saying or that's what they were doing for me.”
