Disturbed notches its 11th No. 1 on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart thanks to “Hey You,” which tops the ranking dated Sept. 3.
The song is Disturbed’s first leader since “No More” ruled for four weeks in 2019. In between, the band sent “Hold On to Memories” to No. 3 in 2020. Frontman David Draiman also reached No. 1 as a vocalist on Nita Strauss‘ “Dead Inside” earlier this year.
The group first led Mainstream Rock Airplay in 2006, when its cover of Genesis‘ 1987 hit “Land of Confusion” reigned for three frames.
Disturbed moves into a three-way tie with Foo Fighters and Godsmack for the fifth-most No. 1s on Mainstream Rock Airplay, which began in 1981. Shinedown leads all acts with 18 No. 1s.

Concurrently, “Hey You” bullets at No. 12 on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay survey with 2.9 million audience impressions, up 1%, according to Luminate.
The track also ranks at No. 6 on the multi-metric Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. In addition to its radio airplay, it earned 936,000 official U.S. streams in the Aug. 19-25 tracking week.
“Hey You” is the lead single from Disturbed’s forthcoming eighth studio album, which does not yet have a release date. Its most recent LP, Evolution, arrived in 2018 and bowed at No. 1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums list. To date, it has earned 430,000 equivalent album units and spawned three Mainstream Rock Airplay toppers: “Are You Ready,” “A Reason to Fight” and the aforementioned “No More.”
