Xavier Ramos has rejoined Interscope Records as executive vp of pop and rock marketing, the label announced Tuesday (Sept. 20).
In his new role, the music industry veteran will oversee the creation and execution of marketing plans for the label’s extensive roster of pop and rock artists. He began his career at Interscope in 1995 as director of artist development.
“Xavier has built a track record as a savvy marketer who is an expert at creating and serving a diverse group of communities,” said Steve Berman, vice-chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M. “His long history as a music marketer in addition to his remarkable tenure at FaZe Clan make him the perfect executive to lead our marketing team as we continue to create innovative ways to support the artists on our pop and rock roster.”
Ramos rejoins Interscope from the gaming and youth culture media platform FaZe Clan, where he worked for nearly four years forging partnerships with organizations including the NFL, Manchester City, DC Comics and more. In 2021, Ramos and his team were named to Ad Age’s Marketers of the Year list. Prior to FaZe Clan, he spent over a decade at Warner Bros. Records where he rose to senior vp of marketing.
“It’s an amazing feeling to return to the label where I started my career,” said Ramos. “The chance to work alongside John Janick, Steve Berman and the talented group of executives at Interscope is a dream come true. I look forward to working with the amazing artists on the Interscope roster.”
