We the Kingdom‘s new studio set blasts in at No. 2 on Billboard‘s Top Christian Albums chart dated Oct. 1. Released Sept. 16, the self-titled set earned 5,000 equivalent album units, with 4,000 in album sales, in its first tracking week, ending Sept. 22, according to Luminate.
The rank marks a career high for the band, which comprises brothers Ed and Scott Cash, the former’s daughter Franni and son Martin, and friend Andrew Bergthold.
The LP is the group’s fourth entry on Top Christian Albums, and its third top five title. EP Live at the Wheelhouse reached No. 3 in April 2020, followed by the act’s first studio LP, Holy Water, which opened at its No. 4 high in August 2020. Plus, the group’s holiday EP A Family Christmas bowed and peaked at No. 44 this January.
The lead single from the new collection, “Miracle Power,” rises 20-19 for a new best on Christian Airplay, up 1% to 2.7 million audience impressions. On the streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Hot Christian Songs list, it pushes 18-17, also a new highpoint, additionally fueled by 594,000 official streams in the U.S.
The group has notched three Hot Christian Songs top 10s, starting with its highest charting hit, “Holy Water” (No. 2, February 2020). It returned to the region with “God So Love,” featuring Bear Rinehart (No. 4, October 2020), and “Child of Love” (No. 5, July 2021).
We the Kingdom is amid its 23-city co-headlining tour with Cory Asbury. The trek wraps Nov. 6 in Atlanta.
