Jurors began deliberating yesterday (December 22nd) in the trial of Tory Lanez. Lanez is charged with shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the feet in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles in 2020.
According to The New York Post, the jury of seven women and five men received the case late Thursday morning (December 22nd) after Lanez’s defense completed a closing argument from a day earlier, and Los Angeles County prosecutors gave a rebuttal.
According to Allhiphop, the jurors in the case sent a notification to the court, expressing their desire to have Sean Kelly‘s full testimony read back to them by the prosecution and defense. They asked the court for “a better definition of the word ‘willfully’ and ‘on purpose’.”
The jurors decided to take a timeout until tomorrow, awaiting a written response from the court. The jurors adjourned for the day at 4 p.m. and will be back at 9 am Friday (December 23rd).
If found guilty, Tory Lanez could be sentenced to a maximum of 22 years in prison.
MEGAN THEE STALLION'S FORMER BODYGUARD FOUND
Meanwhile, Megan's former bodyguard Justin Edison has been found after skipping court last week. Edison was supposed to testify last week but was reportedly in Qatar for another job protecting someone at the World Cup.
In addition to being found, clips of Edison in the nude has surfaced online as well.
PARDI DEFENDS MEGAN
In other news, Megan's boyfriend Pardi took to Instagram to break his silence on the trial. He wrote, “To any woman especially ones of color that has suffered an injustice I feel for you. to any one sic with a daughter Sister mother niece or aunt .. I pray for their protection .. I pray for their covering .. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.”
He continued, “in an instant you can go from victim to defendant in the eyes of the public. when you do find the courage to speak up .. it seems you will be ridiculed .. your credibility will sic questioned.”
