Anthrax is headed to the studio this month to start work on a new album. In an interview with Metal Rules, drummer Charlie Benante revealed that it will probably be released sometime next year.
It’s been seven years since their 2016 release of For All Kings. As for the time between albums, he said, “If we didn't get hit with this whole global pandemic thing, it would have been out probably two or three years ago.”
Some of the songs they plan to record were written before the pandemic and will be mixed with a few new ones.
In 2021 Anthrax celebrated their 40th anniversary as a band.
