Drake has received the key to the city of Memphis, Tennessee — and fans are wondering why. According to HotNewHipHop, the rapper was honored with the key to Shelby County in Memphis from Chairman Mickell Lowry.
Although Drake is from Toronto, his dad Dennis Graham is from Memphis.
People on social media had a lot to say about the matter. One person tweeted, “The city of Memphis really gave a white woman @Drake the key to Memphis. Y’all coulda have it to Key Glock…bffr.”
Another person tweeted, “The Mayor of Memphis gotta be a huge fan of Drake, because that should’ve went to Dolph, Gotti, hell even Bagg… but Drake ??? Lol even he was confused.”
