Lil Wayne, Anitta, Doja Cat, Kelsea Ballerini, and Tomorrow X Together have joined the already-stacked lineup of artists who will perform during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12th. They will join the already-announced first round of performers: Demi Lovato, Karol G, Måneskin and Stray Kids. The news marks Lil Wayne's return to the show more than a decade after he last appeared in 2011. He'll take stage for the first live performance of his unreleased single “Kat Food,” which is set to arrive on September 1st. He's also a nominee in the best hip-hop category, which he first won back in 2008. Doja Cat, who is up for five awards this year, will appear ahead of the release of her fourth studio album, Scarlet. Anitta will perform with Tomorrow X Together, in the K-pop group's VMAs stage debut. Taylor Swift leading the pack with eight nominations for the night, followed by SZA with six.
