Over the weekend, Drake’s altruism was on display during the Las Vegas stop of his It’s All a Blur Tour when he gifted a fan $50,000 after they spent their furniture money on concert tickets to his show.
The overzealous fan flaunted a sign in the crowd reading: “Drake I spent my furniture money on your two shows, OVO for life.” It caught the attention of Drizzy, who rewarded the OVO loyalist with $50,000 for their unbridled loyalty. “My manager is my DJ, right. Is he over there? He’s right there? You know what? My man, your furniture money, imma give you 50 bands tonight cause’ I love you. Make sure he gets his money tonight.”
He continued, saying, “Listen, this is what life is about. I’m trying to teach you something tonight. I want you to understand something tonight. You never know what the next person is going through. You never know what the person in front of you, to the left of you, to the right of you, behind you, is going through.”
Last month, Drake gifted a fan a a Birkin bag, and another Chanel purse during his L.A. tour spot at Crypto.com Arena. Priscela Izquierdo thanked the rapper after she posted a sign and noted that it was her birthday. “Drake Gave Me a Chanel Bag on My Birthday,” it read. According to Izquierdo, the 6 God caught wind of the sign and later delivered her a Chanel bag.
“He read it, and we made eye contact. And he said, ‘Happy birthday.’ And then, he was trying to kill me and gave me a Chanel bag,” she quipped while showing off the bag on TikTok.
Drake is readying his new album For All the Dogs, which will serve as a follow-up to his last solo effort, 2021’s Certified Lover Boy.
