Peso Pluma, Junior H and Óscar Maydon welcome 2024 by popping open some champagne with the new hit “Rompe La Dompe,” whose lyrics are among the most searched lyrics of the week and whose title immediately became a trend on TikTok.
Powered by guitars and trumpets, the corrido — which Peso announced as his final release of 2023 — was released Dec. 28 under the labels Double P Records and Rancho Humilde. Written by Alexis Fierro and produced by Fierro and Peso, Junior H and Maydon, it speaks of nights out and women. And the word “Dompe,” which is repeated throughout the song, refers to the champagne brand Dom Pérignon — which Peso and Junior H had previously referenced in their hit song “Lady Gaga” with Gabito Ballesteros.
