A$AP Rocky officially pleaded not guilty yesterday to shooting his ex-friend A$AP Relli two years ago on a Los Angeles street corner. He's charged with two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and attorneys are hoping for a trial by September. Rocky's lawyer, Joe Tacopina, said he's confident the rapper will be vindicated and wants to get the trial “over with so he can start enjoying his family.” He added that Rocky is “cool as a cucumber” ahead of his next hearing, which is set for March 6th. “He’s a very strong character, a very strong individual,” Tacopina said. Relli testified at a November hearing that he saw Rocky outside a parking garage (an encounter partially caught on surveillance video) and that Rocky pulled a gun from his waistband and said, “I’ll kill you right now.”
