Taylor Swift's lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to Jack Sweeny, a college student who uses publicly-available data to track celebrity private jet usage on social media. The letter threatened legal action over Sweeney's alleged “stalking and harassing behavior,” and claimed Swift and her family are suffering “direct and irreparable harm, as well as emotional and physical distress.” Swift's spokesperson even issued a statement attempting to link Sweeny's reports to Swift's stalkers. “We cannot comment on any ongoing police investigation but can confirm the timing of stalkers suggests a connection,” she said. “His posts tell you exactly when and where she would be.” But Sweeny says his reports are no different than other publicly-available information about Swift's whearabouts, like her tour schedule.
