The 36-year-old Adele was singing, “When We Were Young,” when she spotted the 56-year-old Canadian icon sitting in the VIP section. In fan-captured video of the encounter shared on X, Adele gets emotional when she first sees Dion in the crowd, sharing a tender embrace with the 6-time Grammy winner, who affectionately cradles Adele’s face in her hands when she sees that she is crying. Dion opened the Colosseum with her first residency back in 2003, and was seated with her sons, Nelson and Eddy Angélil, who comforted their mom after that sentimental moment.
