The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ annual gala was, of course, a hotspot for some of the biggest names in cinema on Saturday (Oct. 17) — but there were also a number of A-list musicians in attendance as well, including Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and more.
Wearing a stunning pale blue gown, the Eras headliner was one of the night’s biggest players, attending as both a performer — she sang “The Fate of Ophelia” for the first time live as well as dusted off hits such as “Blank Space” and “Love Story” — and a prospective Oscar nominee for next year’s awards. Her Billboard Hot 100 Toy Story 5 soundtrack contribution, “I Knew It, I Knew You” (which she also performed Saturday night), has been generating major best original song buzz in recent months.
Carpenter also had blue going on for the Academy Museum Gala, opting for a striking cobalt shade on the red carpet. After a breakout couple of years as a pop star, Carpenter is gearing up to shoot her first movie in years: Sony’s upcoming Fred Astaire biopic starring Tom Holland in the titular role, in which she’ll portray Ginger Rogers.
Also repping music at the event were ROSÉ of BLACKPINK, newly minted pop it-girl Tinashe, Clairo and Camila Cabello. Plus, Guns N’ Roses’ Slash made it a date night with wife Meegan Hodges at his side, as did John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.
Held annually ahead of Oscar voting season, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala celebrates a select group of industry leaders every year. In 2026, it recognized Charlize Theron and Colman Domingo as well as filmmaker-composer John Carpenter.
But before the fun got started inside, the stars on the guest list posed for photos on the carpet. Keep reading to see the best pics from the night below.
