“I will always love her, we will always share a special connection and I cherish our memories together deeply,” the Aussie musician wrote. “My head & heart are feeling very heavy right now and I’m not able to talk but I want to thank you all for your support and appreciate you respecting our privacy at this difficult time.”
On her account, Stause posted a tearful video. “G and I are no longer together,” she says in the clip. “We have agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect for each other. That’s not hard for me because I am in love with this person, and I don’t have all the information or the reasons.
“I feel like a little bit of a failure,” the All My Children alum also admitted. “I just have to heal and figure this out. It’s hard, it’s painful — I’m a lover girl, I swing big, I miss.”
That said, Stause was able to acknowledge that she’d had “an amazing four years with G,” and so “maybe it wasn’t a miss.” “I will always love G, and I don’t ever really see that changing,” she added. “This sucks, but everyone deserves to be happy, and I wish that for both of us.”
G Flip — whose song “Bed on Fire” recently debuted to No. 46 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart after it was featured in Off Campus — first started dating Stause in March 2022, the same year the former soap opera star appeared in the musician’s “Get Me Outta Here” music video. In May the following year, the pair got symbolically married in Las Vegas and made a tradition out of renewing their vows with each wedding anniversary.
