First released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been a classic for nearly 30 years. And now, to introduce the video game to a new generation of gamers, Nintendo has completely remade Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo Switch 2.
With prices at $59.99 for a digital download, or $69.99 for a physical copy, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is available starting on Thursday, Nov. 5. Although the story, gameplay and puzzles are pretty much the same as the N64 original, the new remake features all-new modern and enhanced graphics, voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue, symphonic orchestral music and other quality-of-life upgrades.
Meanwhile, at the heart of the game is music, especially with the Ocarina, an ancient wind instrument and vessel flute. It’s used to solve puzzles, warp to other parts of the map, control time and other mechanics. In fact, since the game is made for Nintendo Switch 2, you can use the console’s microphone to whistle or hum melodies from the game or use the dedicated Ocarina of Time controller, which is priced at $49.99 at Best Buy.
And with a My Best Buy Membership, you’ll get it shipped to your home for free. Otherwise, your cart has to be more than $35 to get free shipping. Additionally, you can opt for free in-store pickup at your local Best Buy.
