Cage the Elephant takes sole possession of the mark for the most top 10s in the history of Billboard’s Rock Airplay chart, as “Skin and Bones” rises to No. 8 on the ranking dated Dec. 26.
“Skin” vaults 13-8 with 4 million audience impressions earned in the Dec. 14-20 tracking week, up 18%, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
The Kentucky rockers now have 13 Rock Airplay top 10s, breaking out of a tie with Shinedown for the most in the history of the list, which began in June 2009.

Cage the Elephant first reached the Rock Airplay top 10 with its debut single, “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked,” which peaked at No. 6 in July 2009. Five of those 13 top 10s have hit No. 1, most recently one-week leader “Social Cues” in October 2019.
“Skin” concurrently jumps 11-8 on the Alternative Airplay tally, becoming Cage the Elephant’s 15th top 10, and 11-9 on Adult Alternative Songs, where it’s the band’s ninth top 10.
The song is the fourth single from Social Cues, Cage the Elephant’s fifth studio album. The LP debuted at No. 2 on the Top Rock Albums chart in May 2019 and has earned 219,000 equivalent album units to date.
