Jon Pardi will be in the studio this week working on his first Christmas album. He recently told CMT that he plans to be recording on Thursday (February 2nd) and Friday (February 3rd) in Nashville, and that the project should be due out later this year.
The album will be anything but traditional. He said, “I did go through a lot more pop songs and other stuff. I can't give it away because I was really detailed in what we're recording. But we're not singing 'Silent Night' or 'O Holy Night' or any boring a– Christmas songs . . . It's very uptempo and fun. I feel like there's all kinds of weird Christmas songs that everybody does. It's a merry Christmas party.”
Jon described the album as “Christmas with a drink.”
Jon and his wife, Summer, are awaiting the arrival of their first child, who is due this month. They're expecting a girl who will be named Presley Fawn.
